This week we were very excited to be invited to provide the center pieces for a prestigious local event!
Our thanks goes to Jayne Willard, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, who suggested The Bloom Room supply the arrangements for the National Charity League of Greater Naperville Recognition Luncheon. For more information on what the national Charity League do, click here - a great organization! The National Charity League of Greater Naperville. Again our gorgeous flower were supplied by Trader Joe's who we are always delighted to work with, and for the first time, greenery was supplied by Darlene Nelson at DLN Floral Creations. The event was held today against the beautiful backdrop of the Naperville Country Club where it was lovely to meet with The League Chairwoman Cindie Ramm, Committee Members and the ever efficient Dana Robinson, Event Co-ordinator at the Country Club. A big shout out to the students who did such a lovely job in class this week of putting together the arrangements! Let us know if you have an event you would like Connections Students at The Bloom Room to provide for!

We were thrilled to have FOUR of the staff at Connections recognized at this year's Those Who Excel awards for School District 203. Two of our staff also went on to receive the 'Dream Team' title! Connections Staff work seamlessly to do what we can to make every day a success for both our staff and students. Thank you all for your continued support. You can see photos from the event here...
http://www.gbphotoshoots.com/Gallery/School-District-203-Awards/i-jdkhPZK/A We are thrilled to be able to thank heather, Mike, Delaney and Morgan Donnary for their generous donation of a 7 x 5 Rubbermaid shed! Heather works at Naperville North High School as a Dean's Assistant and during a spring clean up, was looking to relocate the shed to a new home. Of course as soon as we heard it was up for grabs we leaped at the chance to have it for our student garden!
Heather, Mike and their daughters kindly gave up their time too to dismantle, pressure wash and drive the shed over to Connections where it is now awaiting its unveiling in its new location. With the kind and generous actions of families like the Donnary Family, our garden is going to flourish! |
