It’s time to look back at some of the worst films to ever deface our big screens. While many of us grew up with some amazing, creative, and innovative movies, deep in the shadows are some really bad ones ranging from making no sense, to being tacky, and sometimes even being outright lazy. So let’s check out the Top 10 worst movies and if you do like these movies, that’s great, everyone’s entitled to their own opinion, this is my silly personal opinion. I’m glad that you can see the good in these movies that I can’t. Anyway, onto the countdown!
#10 Jupiter Ascending (2015) Long, long ago we meet Jupiter Jones (really?) portrayed by Mila Kunis who is a young female living in Chicago and trying to protect herself in a space war, I think? The story is just all over the place in this one! I tried to follow it, I really did, but it’s like watching an outright equivalent of a Star Wars/Star Trek rip-off - ridiculous, lame, and slightly annoying. I can’t quite work out what this film’s concept was supposed to be: Was it a sci-fi film? Was it an action film? Was it a love-romance film? Should I just keep asking questions? I probably should, considering that none of the creators have any answers. Everything in this film felt so artificial to me. The background colors of this film consist of sad blues, blacks, and oranges. I actually think I got more entertainment out of staring at my watch for 3 hours because this film feels like it’s just about three hours. This movie was despised by the public and it was panned by critics for its visual effects and lack of coherent story. This one’s at the top of the list because I can respect the creators’ attempt to be completely innovative (I mean there was an entire act of betrayal and action in this movie we just couldn’t see it because most of the audience was still trying to figure out what the movie was actually about). All of the creator's intentions were good. It’s a shame the film is so awkward, makes no sense, and is just a play on of several other, far better action movies. #9 Tooth Fairy 2 (2012) I think I can say there is someone clearly working for Warner Bros. because films like this are created by people purposely trying to sabotage their rival’s company. The original Tooth Fairy film was panned for being a load of bile: the effects were terrible, the main character gave a shallow and cruel performance, and the story was ridiculous. It was just a mess. So they decided to make a sequel. Instead of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, thinking, "Let’s get Larry The Cable Guy because you know… he was the voice of Tow Mater in the Cars franchise, kids liked that movie right?” But this movie was the biggest coffee stain on his resume! What did the director say to this guy? Believe me, I find Larry The Cable Guy to be a very talented voice-over actor, actor, and musician, but I just can’t withstand his acting in this movie. I really hate the costume - I mean I can’t believe he had the boldness to put that costume on, he looks like a ballerina with wings! The plot summary unfolds in 10 minutes with little or no effort put into it and the costumes are so ridiculous it looks more like a little girl’s coloring book. This movie deserves no attention, whatsoever! T What do you think? Do you agree with T's #9 and 10 picks or do you have other movies to propose? Talk to us in the comments! #s 7 and 8 coming next week.
