Reflections is our blog, written by young adults with special needs, FOR young adults with special needs and their families.

We are excited to share our vocational experiences with you, through first hand accounts, as students learn to navigate the world of volunteer and paid employment.

We will be posting each week about the ins and outs and ups and downs of these work experiences. We will share our views on what jobs to apply for, when to consider a volunteer experience, how to apply for jobs, interviewing successes and failures, securing a position, how to handle the let down of not being chosen for the job as well as how to plan for and succeed on your first day at work and much, much more!

Welcome to our community. We look forward to connecting with you!

This is such an exciting opportunity for not only our students, but for all young adults with disabilities, as they learn to navigate their world. I'm so proud to be a part of Reflections!

Seeing the rebirth of Connections is so exciting. Its purpose has been demonstrated in many ways throughout the 2015-2016 year, not just I house but within our community via microConnections and vocational opportunities. Thanks to all who have worked so hard to plant the seed that is causing our young adults to flourish in skills and dignity.
